The PetBreeze Pro is a light-weight active cooling vest — not a passive one you soak in water and hope for the best.
It combines two layers of protection:
- Layer 1: Ice Silk Fabric. A lightweight material designed to help cool and wick heat away from your dog's skin. Breathable mesh panels promote airflow across the chest and belly — the areas where dogs lose heat fastest.
- Layer 2: Detachable Fan Unit. A whisper-quiet mini fan clips into the back of the vest and pushes air directly through the mesh lining and across your dog's body. Three speed settings. Up to 90 minutes of battery life on a single USB-C charge. Detaches in one second for washing or recharging.
Safety testing of the fan unit was conducted successfully on real dogs — it does not attract or pull in pet hair during operation.

How to measure: With your dog standing, wrap a flexible tape measure around the widest part of their ribcage (just behind the front legs). Keep it snug but not tight — you should be able to fit one finger underneath.
Between sizes? Always go up. A slightly looser fit still allows full airflow, but a too-tight vest can restrict breathing — the opposite of what you want in the heat.
Note: The XS–M range is also suitable for cats and small animals who tolerate wearing fitted garments.
- Measure your dog — Wrap a
soft tape around the widest part of their chest, just behind the front legs.
Match the measurement to our size chart (see Size Guide tab). If you're between sizes, go up. - Slip the vest on — The vest is ultra-light (approx. 210g for the largest size) and fastens securely without restricting movement.
Most dogs adjust within seconds — the fabric is designed to feel lighter and cooler than their own fur. - Attach the fan — The mini fan unit clicks into the housing on the back of the vest.
It locks in place and won't fall off during movement. - Recharge when needed — After up to 90 minutes, detach the fan and plug in via USB-C.
Full charge in about 1.5 hours. The vest continues to help with passive cooling through the Ice Silk fabric while the fan charges.
Most cooling vests on the market work by evaporation. You soak them in cold water, put them on your dog, and wait for the water to evaporate and pull heat away.
The problems with that approach:
- They typically stop being effective within 20–30 minutes once the water dries out
- In humid conditions (common across much of Europe right now), evaporation slows significantly — reducing their effectiveness
- They add wet weight to your dog's body, which some dogs find uncomfortable
- They need to be re-soaked constantly throughout a walk or outing

The fan provides mechanical airflow — it doesn't depend on water evaporating or ambient humidity. It pushes air across your dog's skin the same way a desk fan helps cool you down.
